Prof Salvatore is the Professor of urogynaecology at the San Raffaele Hospital and the University of Milan, and current President of the European Urogynaecological Association. He is the Scientific Secretary of the Italian Society of Urodynamics. He also serves on the Editorial Boards of Neurology and Urodynamics and of the International Urogynecological Journal.
