Alison Ariotti presents the Nine Network’s 6pm Weekend News in Brisbane & has 15 years experience reporting news in Queensland. Alison began her career at WIN Television. She worked as a reporter in Cairns and on the Sunshine Coast before being offered a position with Channel Nine, first on the Gold Coast and then in Brisbane. In 2009 Alison joined the world of breakfast TV, becoming the Queensland reporter for the TODAY Show. During her time with TODAY, Alison filed stories from London ahead of the 2012 Olympics, was a network reporter for the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games and followed the Tour de France in 2012. She also spent 6 months covering the QLD flood crisis of 2010/2011. Alison completed a 2 week fellowship at CNN, Atlanta in 2011 as the Nine Network's chosen representative. Alison and her husband Gerard welcomed their first child in 2013 and shortly afterwards relocated to Sydney where Alison hosted Nine News NOW. 12 months later Alison and her family returned home to Queensland where Alison took up the position of Weekend News Presenter. She is currently on maternity leave after welcoming her second daughter in January 2016.
