Welcome
On behalf of Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society, it is my pleasure to invite you to the AGES XXVI Annual Scientific Meeting in Brisbane, 2 to 5 March, 2016.
The scientific committee has assembled an exciting and, at times, controversial program for 2016, focusing on The Modern Woman. The Modern Woman is everywhere, represented by our patients, relatives, spouses, and colleagues. Yet her omnipresence defies definition, a theme that is central to this program. Through a series of lectures, live surgical vignettes, free communications and debates, the program has been constructed to educate and stimulate. The extensive international and national faculty has not only been tasked with the critical assessment of modern surgical approaches to a variety of obstetric and gynaecological conditions, but also with the exploration of themes as diverse as professionalism, reproduction and sexuality.
The social highlight of the program will be the Gala Dinner at the Queensland Art Gallery, which, for the first time, will also feature an exciting charitable auction. I look forward to welcoming you to Brisbane in 2016.
Kind regards
Anusch Yazdani
President, AGES
